I bought this book over a decade ago it seems and finally got around to going through it and I have to tell you it's really good. One of the reviewers said the tone was bad for country but I think the opposite. On a Fender statocastor through a Fender amp (I sound like a plug) Gregg's tone is incredible for all styles except jazz which usually requires hollow body electric for a fat clean tone. As far as the other criticism that you get 5 styles per track, well there were limitations on CD tracks 14 years ago. Nowadays it's hard to get a CD with a book like this much less one recorded so well. I'm using the book as a sort of warmup book. I haven't found a bad lick in it and some are very challenging to play and the country licks are no exception. Get it if you still can !
